UJS is a docket system, not a full copy desk. It can show case numbers, docket events, parties, charges, dispositions, hearing dates, and payment links when available, but it does not replace a certified copy from the office that keeps the original file. The portal also warns that recent entries may not appear at once, that browser settings can affect use, and that docket sheets should not be used as a Pennsylvania State Police criminal-history background check.

Types of Berks County Court Records

What Berks County Court Records Show

A public docket sheet is built to show the case path. Berks County Court Records Access Rules

The official Right-to-Know Law text is a useful source for Berks County court records research, but it should not be read as a promise that all court case papers are open through a county RTK form.

The distinction is important for court users: a civil docket may be searchable online, while a sealed case, juvenile file, adoption file, or certified copy request still requires office-level review.

Restricted Berks County Court Records

Some Berks County court records are not shown in ordinary public search results. Juvenile files are generally restricted under 42 Pa.C.S. § 6307.
